Determination of Civil Engineering Problems Using Resistivity Methods in Ramadi, Western Iraq

Many civil engineering problems resulting from the presence of gypsum soil near surface and water table in shallow depth led to solubility creates a subsurface weak area Ramadi city. 2D 3D electrical resistivity imaging were applied using Dipole-dipole array with an n-factor 6 a-spacing values 2 m. Imaging data sets have been acquired along five traverses line distance 4 meters. The inversion model is generated by robust constraint method, which clearly shows that boundary sharper straighter. results show two main zones, first represents topsoil layer extends 2.5 m ranging 28 312 ?m. second zone located at 10 value 0.267 variation table, inhomogeneity sediment, areas, sedimentation lenses are reasons for failure engineering. These failures may cause many such as wall cracks, foundation damage, building collapses.
